UK Golf Academy Golf Society
UK Golf Academy are arranging golf days for our customers and their friends, even if you want to entertain clients, they are more than welcome. We are planning a fixtures list for different courses through 2011.
If you have played on our previous days you will know what happens, if not the format is listed below along with the stableford scoring system
Format: Arrive one hour before your tee time, allowing time to register and enjoy a Coffee and Bacon roll. Once registered and fed, proceed to warm up and prepare for 18 Hole Stableford with nearest the pin and longest drive.
How to Score at Stableford - Each player plays the par of each hole and receives points according to how he scores in relation to par.

- The score is the nett score for each hole dependent on the player's handicap. Players will receive their full handicap allowance.
- The nett score is calculated by taking strokes at the appropriate hole using the stroke index shown on the card.
- Whereas medal play requires you to complete every hole, Stableford is a score by hole, so that if you take more than 2 over par nett at the first, you can pick your ball up and go to the second hole and start again.
- At the end of the 18 holes, the number of points gained at each of the holes is added together to give a total points score.
Golf Society Prizes
There will be 2 or 3 categories all with a 1st 2nd & 3rd prize. The amount of catagories is dependant on the amount of golfers playing. On our first event the prizes were 3 x SkyCaddies, 3 x Cobra Drivers, a Dozen balls and a gloves. Well worth winning!!
